In 1988, invited by Professor Hongyuan Chen to study Anal. Chem. after graduation from Polymer Specialty. The thesis for Master was: investigation on polyaniline modified electrode. The thesis for Ph.D. was: investigation on the electrochemistry of biological molecules and polyaniline modified electrode.
In 1994, invited by Professor Dexu Zhu to do postdoctoral research in the Department of Biochemistry. The postdoctoral dissertation was: electrochemical studies on heme protein and coenzyme I. According to the postdoctoral administration policy of the Chinese Government, in these years, every year only one accomplished PhD student could do postdoctoral research at the same university as the one where he got his PhD degree, which would provide excellent both academic and living conditions. Dr. Genxi Li was the only one in 1994 at Nanjing University.
The host professor at Munich University was Professor Hugo Scheer. At Tohoku University, it was Professor Jun-ichi Anzai, and at Harvard University it was Professor Gerhard Wagner. They are all greatly appreciated for their help, support and well reception.
